– Artists’ Books– opening this Saturday at the Riverside Gallery.  I will be showing a new bookwork 'Life Admin', a one-off piece made with handmade paper from utility bills, junk mail, waste paper, personal letters, notes and other pieces of significant or insignificant paper. It explores the transformative process through papermaking, the destruction of something old and the creation of something new without changing its essential nature.

I am participating in this show at B A R Gallery along with many other wonderful artists!
Exhibiting art that uses paper as its medium. Humble Origins looks at the diverse ways with which paper is still used in art. Despite the rise of digital and the move towards technologies in our everyday lives paper is still a fertile and cherished medium for artistic practice.

‘Octavo Fika' focuses on work that creates a sequence of words, texts and images that leads from one to another as a literal or an implied narration that emerges through the relationship of the previous to the following.
Featuring work by over 50 International and local book creators who have explored the idea of the Book and its Narrative, expressed through a wide range of illustrative media, drawing, wood work, book binding, poetry, textiles and much more.
This week-long event will hold book signings, workshops and talks presented in a relaxed exhibition environment.
